All Team members volunteer their services to the team. The UTCD was originally started to reach out to persons unable to attend regularly scheduled church services. Under the leadership of Elder Gregory Boston, the UTCD was encouraged to expand, develop a web presence and offer additional services to the Church and community. The service positions are changing as the department grows. At this time our efforts are geared towards: coordinating the electronic communication needs of the church. The communications team schedules and hosts virtual meetings, Bible classes, prayer services. The UTCD handles One Call notifications and other services as needed. The members maintain the church’s web presence, providing outreach services through the church's website, social media, such as Facebook and you tube. The team members record and catalog sermons for future viewing and archiving. The team handles the sound for all church events. The church’s sound system is also maintained and upgraded under the advice of the Communications Department. Youth training and participation is an active developing concern. Resources and training activities are being developed. to encourage youth participation. Goal Two To be of Service to all Ministries, Auxiliaries and our community as we fulfill "Our Great Commision." The Communication's team will provide assistance to Ministries and auxiliaries requesting assistance within our span of communications. Help with flyers, banners, Social Media announcements, scheduling virtual meetings and announcements are available. The team will also work with the Missionary Circle and other groups to help with community projects and concerns. These services are under development and will continue to evolve as we explore the needs of the Church and how UTCD may be of SERVICE. |
